Cabbage Jambalaya Recipe



This is amazingly simple and surprisingly tasty recipe is a sure winner in your family meal. This is a great way to use any left over meat and prepare this delicious dish. Here is a simple recipe.
Ingredients
ground beef - 1 pound
One pound of smoked sausage, Sliced ​​into 1 / 4 inch pieces
1 chopped onion
Three stalks of celery
chopped garlic - 1 clove
1 medium head cabbage, chopped
stewed tomatoes - 1 (14.5 ounce) can
14 and 1 / 2 fluid ounces water
uncooked rice - 1 cup

Take a large stockpot. On medium-high heat, put the smoked sausage, ground beef, celery, garlic and onion and mix them well. Cook them well until beef is evenly brown. Put the tomatoes, cabbage, water and rice in the beef mixture and combine them. Season the mixture with garlic and salt. Let the whole mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and make it low. Cover the pot with a lid and cook for about 35 to 40 minutes until the rice is cooked. In the meantime, keep on stirring the mixture so it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Serve hot and enjoy a great meal in your home.
If you want to prepare easy, but a different recipe then it might be your choice. To be healthy you can use low fat sausage and ground turkey instead of beef. It will not taste much different. Use the red peppers if you want it to be sweeter. Creole seasoning is a great way to spice up. To add more flavor, add chicken broth in place of normal water. This is a healthy meal that is great for a quick and tasty family meal.
